Renegade Playground, LLC announced today that it is now accepting registrations for the Renegade Playground Challenge obstacle course mud run taking place at the Redneck Yacht Club off-road mud park in Punta Gorda, FL. With events along the east coast in 2012, this will mark the inaugural visit of the Renegade Playground Challenge to Florida, in support of the charitable goals of The Heights Foundation.

While it will take place on a course roughly 5k to 6k in length, the Renegade Playground Challenge is no ordinary 6k race, but the ultimate event for thrill-seeking athletes, ?weekend warriors?, and just regular people looking for a fun, unique, and exciting challenge. Taking place December 8, 2012, the Renegade Playground Challenge will be held at the awesomely muddy Redneck Yacht Club, the premier off-road mud park in the southeast. There will be no way for participants to remain clean as they navigate over more than a dozen obstacles on a course that winds through the 800 acres of trails and mud holes that make up the Redneck Yacht Club. The unique obstacles feature names such as Everest, Wall Banger, Tunnel of Doom, Dirty Dancing, Nutcracker, Jack and Jill, Speed Bumps, Shark Bait, and more.

Those who survive earn the title of true Renegades who, while having a great time, are also supporting a great local charity. A free t-shirt and medal for all participants, along with a day-long festival atmosphere will make this a memorable event for all.

The Dallas Tennis Classic, a new stop on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour played at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas, announced the singles final matchup for Sunday, which will include Russian, Igor Andreev and Canadian, Frank Dancevic. In doubles action the final will pit Mexican, Santiago Gonzalez and American, Scott Lipsky against the American duo of Bobby Reynolds and Michael Russell.

Frank Dancevic came into the tournament as a Qualifier ranked No. 175 in the ATP rankings but has played at a very high level during the week to beat Qualifier, Alex Kuznetsov (USA), fifth-seed, Yen-Hsun Lu (TPE), and first seed, Marin Cilic (CRO), who is ranked No. 24 in the world. Dancevic received a walkover in his semi-final singles match against former world No. 2 Tommy Haas, who had to withdraw right before the start of the match due to a thoracic pain incurred in the warm-up.

His competitor, Igor Andreev, currently ranked No. 107 has also had a great week of wins against, Gil Frederico (POR), Flavio Cipolla (ITA) eighth-seed, Lukas Lacko (SVK) and Bjorn Phau (GER).

Dancevic and Andreev have played twice in their careers, both matches in 2009, and are 1-1 in the head-to-head matchup.

The Dallas Tennis Classic is a Challenger Level Tour event with Prize Money of $ 125,000. The event features a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw. Unlike other Challenger events, top 50 ranked players can play in the Dallas Tennis Classic, without obtaining a wildcard, as they prepare for the Sony Ericsson.

The launching of new international centers is just one element in a multi-year growth program that also includes plans to grow aggressively in the U.S. and Canada with 30 new openings planned for 2012, and to hire as many as 200 new coaches and give hundreds of thousands of lessons. This incredible and unprecedented growth spurt comes on top of double-digit increases in same-store sales over the last two years, with 2012 already looking very good. Same-store sales growth was 13.4% in 2010 and 15% in 2011. January 2012 was GolfTEC?s 29th straight month of same-store sales rise, and after just five months of FY 2012, sales are up 8.1%?with the height of the season yet to come.

In Japan, master franchisee GDO (Golf Digest Online Inc.) anticipates opening its first GolfTEC improvement centers in the first half of this year. The long-range plan for Japan projects the opening of as many as 100 centers in the future. GDO, is the largest online golf portal with 1.9 million registered members. GDO operates the largest online golf shop, as well as the top online golf media and online tee time booking services. In golf-mad South Korea?where it is estimated that 20% of the 50 million residents play golf?plans are to open as many as five new centers in the next three years, steadily adding locations until a minimum of 40 centers are in operation. The franchisee is GolfTEC Korea, run by a team of native Korean and Korean-American businesspeople, including local CEOs and former U.S. military officers who were also GolfTEC students.

In Canada, there are two GolfTEC sites opened, with plans of six more this year and the inauguration of 40 new centers steadily over the next decade.

Helping to fuel this remarkable rise, GolfTEC forecasts that it will hire at least 200 new coaches in 2012, many in the U.S. where the rest of the golf industry has been dealing with flat to negative growth.

?Most of those coaches will work in new centers opening around the United States this year plus others that are expanding,? Assell explains. ?But some of them are for our new international locations. In fact, we are looking to hire American professionals interested in going to Japan or Korea. We employ PGA-certified instructors worldwide and are proud to be one of the few companies hiring more PGA professionals at a time when the golf industry is struggling.?

GolfTEC?s coaches new and old should expect to be busy. After setting a company record of nearly 580,000 lessons last year, Assell estimates GolfTEC will give more than 670,000 lessons in 2012, putting the grand total of lessons since 1995 at nearly four million.

?Our plans both immediately and over the long term are for significant growth,? Assell says. ?We are committed to opening more centers as well as buying back select franchises to increase our corporate-owned presence. We love the business and want to own more of it.

?Furthermore, we want to add one new country each year. We are definitely going to grow internationally and are actively looking for overseas partners.?

The BMW Magic Millions Carnival and Raceday launched its new advertising campaign today, which was created on the Gold Coast in October to showcase Australia?s premier summer racing carnival.

Featuring rising stars, Queensland-born models Nicole Pollard and Nathan Jolliffe, the campaign was photographed at Broadbeach by renowned fashion photographer, Chris Colls. A crew of 32, plus four thoroughbreds and four horse handlers, collaborated to produce an array of images that capture the excitement and colour of BMW Magic Millions Carnival and Raceday. Working closely with event sponsors including BMW, Myer, R.M.Williams, and Events Queensland, the shoot showcases the quintessential Australian glamour exhibited at the Gold Coast Turf Club during the carnival.

17-year-old Nicole Pollard is a student and international super model in the making. Pollard has graced the runways of Milan and Paris after making her debut in 2010 at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week where she walked in an impressive 22 shows ? the most walks booked by a debuting model.
